Target's Cat & Jack releases 2023 Winter Collection: Dragon's World Feature

The release of 'Dragon World' marks Trajan's 3rd national Target design release. As a freelance designer for Cat & Jack, Trajan has the opportunity to design graphics for the store's children's brand collection! Dragon world is a video game style graphic that invites its wearer to embark on a fun adventure!

Trajan Baker wins Creative of the Year award at 2023 HBCU Met Gala

The HBCU Met Gala presents a unique opportunity to celebrate Black Excellence across our nation's 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The 2023 Awards Celebration also featured an HBCU Leadership Summit in which a panel of entrepreneurs shared special insights into their success mental. Trajan received nomination for the HBCU Creative Award and ultimately won the award after receiving the most votes! During the event, Trajan performed a Saxophone selection - Is it a Crime by Sade Adu. The Bank Event Center in Atlanta, Georgia served as the venue space for the 2023 HBCU Met Gala.

Hampton University Architecture Department Travels to Ghana, West Africa - Collaboration with Ghanaian Artist!

The Summer 2023 International Urban Design Travel Studio presented a unique opportunity for our 3rd and 4th year students to study abroad in Ghana, West Africa. This curriculum-based tour of three city destinations - Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast - was led under the tutelage of Profs. Stanford Britt, FAIA, NOMAC and Marci Turner.

Trajan Baker Named 2022-23 NPHC Brother of the Year

The National Pan-Hellenic Council at Hampton University is a leading student organization which includes membership from the Divine Nine greek letter organizations on campus. The NPHC strives to uplift community and fuel student spirit through its many engagement opportunity both on campus and the community abound. 

Following a highly impactful year, the Beta Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha was awarded the NPHC Fraternity of the Year award and its 2022-23 Polemarch, Trajan Baker, was awarded the individual NPHC Brother of the Year Award.

3...2...1..Blast Off! Hampton Roads Elementary School students experience Space Library adventure.

The k-5 students of Mary S. Peake Elementary School gained a new addition to their learning resources thanks to the Golden Library Initiative - A project organized by Hampton University's Beta Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi and Black is Gold. Creative director Trajan Baker hand painted 'Space Library' along with his team to encourage young scholars to love learning.
